Can I replace just one damaged tail light?

Yes, if the opposite lamp works properly and the replacement matches your original lighting configuration. Compare the lens style, connector and part number. For two-piece sets, confirm the exact positions included; two pieces do not necessarily replace every rear lamp section.

Do I need a new assembly if only one lighting function stops working?

Not necessarily. A failed bulb, socket or wiring connection may affect only one function. Have the fault checked before ordering. If the failed LEDs are integrated and not separately serviceable, replacing the affected assembly may be necessary.

What should I check when my old tail light has water inside?

Inspect the lens, housing, gasket and connector for damage or corrosion. A replacement lamp may not stop the leak if the mounting seal is damaged. Confirm whether a gasket is supplied, and check the sealing surface before fitting the new assembly.
