Will a new armrest cover fix a lid that will not close?

A surface cover will not repair a broken latch, hinge or lid base. Inspect the damaged component first, then choose a repair kit or lid assembly that explicitly includes the part you need.

Does the console shifter bracket set include the console or shifter?

The bracket set is mounting hardware, not a complete console or shifter assembly. Check the package list and compare the bracket positions with your existing setup before ordering.

How can I avoid ordering the wrong armrest color or missing hardware?

Compare the color and stitching with your interior in daylight, since screen images and worn upholstery can differ. Check the package contents separately for the latch, hinges and screws; do not assume every repair kit includes them.
