FAQ

Why does the 2007 Sierra Classic designation matter when choosing a third brake light?

This collection includes lamps specifically labeled for the 2007 Classic. Do not assume every 2007 Sierra uses the same assembly. Check your truck’s body style and compare the original lamp’s shape, mounting points, connector and part number. A matching year alone is not enough to choose between differently specified lamps.

Should I replace the lamp or just the gasket if water leaks around the third brake light?

Inspect the lamp housing, lens, gasket and mounting surface before buying. If the lamp is intact and works normally, a deteriorated gasket may be the part that needs replacement. A new seal will not repair a cracked housing or damaged mounting surface. Check gasket fitment separately and confirm whether a new lamp already includes one.

Will a replacement third brake light retain my Sierra or Canyon cargo lights?

Confirm that the selected assembly supports both the brake-light and cargo-light functions fitted to your truck. Lens color does not establish which functions are included. Compare the connector and check whether bulbs, sockets or wiring must be reused. Do not assume the Yukon products have the same functions as the pickup-truck lamps.
