FAQ

Why do some Silverado third brake lights specify 2007 Classic?

The Classic designation identifies a specific body-style application. Do not assume every 2007 Silverado uses the same third brake light. Compare your original lamp’s shape, mounting points, connector and part number with the selected listing. Choose a Classic-labeled product only when your truck’s configuration matches its stated application.

Do I need a complete lamp if water is leaking around the third brake light?

Not necessarily. If the lens and housing are intact and the light works correctly, inspect the gasket and mounting surface first. A replacement seal may address a deteriorated gasket, but it will not repair a cracked housing or damaged mounting area. Check whether a new lamp includes a seal before ordering a separate gasket.

Will a Silverado or Colorado replacement retain the white cargo lights?

Confirm that the selected assembly supports both the red brake-light function and the white cargo illumination fitted to your truck. Lens appearance alone does not establish the functions included. Check the connector and whether bulbs or sockets must be transferred. Do not assume Tahoe and Suburban lamps have the same functions as pickup-truck assemblies.
